Centre for Violence Prevention

The Centre for Violence Prevention (CVP) is a national centre of excellence in research, training and information within the area of violence and violence prevention.

CVP is a collaborative network between Karolinska Institutet and practitioners and researchers at other organisations and authorities in Sweden, such as the Prison and Probation Service, the Police, forensic mental health services and the National Board of Institutional Care (SiS).

CVP integrates scientific method and important basic research with issues from police work, forensic mental health care, the prison service and other branches of the legal system.
