On May 23, 2008, Jenny Yourstone defended her thesis for the degree of doctor of Philosophy at the Department of Psychology, at Stockholm University.
The title of the thesis is Violent female offenders: Facts and preconceptions. The thesis includes three empirical studies in which Jenny Yourstone have looked at differences in the psycho-social background between female and male perpetrators convicted of homicide, and whether female and male violent offenders are assessed differently in the forensic psychiatric process.
