| 25/04/2003 Three mid-thesis
reviews at CVP in May and June.
You could call it a 'ketchup bottle effect'. The Centre for Violence
Prevention was initially housed, from its establishment in the autumn
of 2002, in temporary offices by Stureplan in central Stockholm.
The planned move to premises on Hälsingegatan was delayed and
did not happen until March 2003.
Now, no less than three postgraduate students will have vivas on
their ongoing theses within the space of one month. First out is
Ulrika L. Hiscoke, who on the 8th of May will be
presenting her project Risk management: the role of clinical factors
in violent behaviour. Professors Marie Åsberg and Anders Forsman,
and senior lecturer Maria Levander are the examiners.
On the 15th of May, Mats Dernevik presents his
project Structured clinical assessment and management of risk of
violence in mentally disordered offenders in a forensic mental health
context for a examination panel comprising senior lecturers Johan
Hallqvist and Stål Björkly and doctor of medicine Anders
Tengström.

And finally, ahead of the summer break on the 12th of June, it
is Knut Sturidsson's turn to present his project
Risk management: The development of a structured model for community
risk monitoring. Sturidsson's examination panel will comprise three
senior lecturers: Lisa Ekselius, Per Nettelbladt and Leif Öjesjö.
