BERIT. Decision tool for risk assessments within the prison
and probation service.
BERIT is a decision tool developed by CVP for use by officers and
decision-makers within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
It is being used on a trial basis at prisons and probation centres
as part of the prison and probation service's quality assurance
efforts and endeavours towards better assessments of the likelihood
of reoffence.
Only those who have participated in and passed the prison and probation
service's 'HB course' are authorised to use BERIT.

S.O.R.M. Structured Outcome Assessment and Community Risk
Monitoring is a model developed by researchers at CVP aimed
at probation and parole-based risk monitoring among clients/patients
who have left an institution. This manual, including forms and other material, is available
in PDF format in English, Swedish and Dutch. You can download the
entire manual here:

SARA. Spousal Assault Risk Assessment Guide.
Kropp, Hart, Webster & Eaves (1994) is a clinical checklist
for the assessment of the risk of a return to spousal violence.
The guide is based around a checklist with 20 risk factors that
are considered to increase the risk of a return to spousal violence.
SARA is available in Swedish
translation by Henrik Belfrage and Martin Grann (1999).

HCR-20.
HCR-20 provides guidelines for the assessment of the risk of future
violence by mentally ill offenders, that has been developed by Webster
and colleagues. This is a clinical checklist with 20
items that correspond to the factors that, through research,
have been identified as important to the risk of violent actions. HCR-20 is available from PAR
Inc.
An abbreviated Swedish version of HCR-20 has been produced by Henrik
Belfrage and Göran Fransson at the regional forensic mental
health clinic in Sundsvall.
The HCR-20 Annotated Bibliography provides an
overview updated regularly by Dr Kevin Douglas of all research involving HCR-20. This is a very

SVR-20 is a clinical checklist for the assessment of the likelihood
of sexual reoffence. The guide is based around a checklist with
20 risk factors that are considered to increase the risk of a return
to sexual violence.

The SAVRY. Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth.
The SAVRY is a checklist for structured assessment of violence risk
in deliquent youth aged 12 to 18. The SAVRY includes 10 historical
risk factors, 6 social/contextual risk factors, 8 individual risk
factors, and 6 protective factors. You can find more information at the SAVRY homepage.

The ERASOR. Estimate of Risk of Adolescent Sexual Offense
Recidivism.
The ERASOR is a checklist for structured assessment of sexual recidivism
risk in youth (aged 12-18) who has committed at least one sexual
offense.
