| Here are a number of examples of training
courses that CVP has organised:
- Risk assessment for psychologists and consulting doctors
working within the National Board of Institutional Care.
In this course, the participants are trained to assess and communicate
risk of violence in antisocial youth. The course was first held
in 2003 and the next occasion will be held during the autumn of
2004. With start in 2004 this course will also be held with case
managers from the Social Services.
- Forensic risk assessment for officers and decision-makers
in the prison and probation service ('HB course'). This
course, in collaboration with the Swedish Prison and Probation
Service, has now been held a total of four times. For this course,
CVP has also developed a decision tool known as BERIT for the
prison and probation service.
- Forensic risk assessment for psychologists and doctors
in the prison and probation service ('Expert course').
We still regularly hold so-called KVIDA days (skills maintenance
follow-up days) in this area. These have been held since the spring
of 2002.
- CVP has also collaborated on training
with the county councils of Östergötland and Dalarna
and the Sävik AB treatment centre, and has collaborative
projects with Stockholm University and Mälardalen University.
- Training in risk assessment of violence in antisocial youth
for psychologists and consulting doctors within the National
Board of Institutional Care. This course was first held
during the autumn of 2003 with a follow-up session in 2004.
- Training in risk inventories of sexual offences and domestic
violence, Domestic Violence Unit, South Stockholm Police.
This course was held during the autumn of 2002 and spring of 2003.
- Training in risk assessment as part of the prison and probation
service's programme on violence in close relationships, during
2002-2003.
- Training in the risk assessment of sexual offences has been
held on a number of occasions for the prison and probation service,
most recently during 2002 for the probation and parole service
in the Stockholm region.
- Training in risk assessment for staff working at the sexual offence ward
at Norrtälje Prison, with recurring supervision since 1999.
- Training in risk assessment using HCR-20, SARA, SVR-20 and psychopathy
assessment using PCL:SV for staff at the forensic mental
care unit in Sala in 1999.
- Training in risk assessment using HCR-20, SARA, SVR-20 and psychopathy
assessment using PCL:SV for staff at the forensic mental
health centre in Säter in 1998.
